Tattoo Appointment Guidelines
General Guidelines
Be on time: Late arrivals may result in a forfeited deposit.
Running Late: Contact me as soon as you know you are going to be late.
Late without Notice: If you are more than 15 minutes late without notice, your deposit will be forfeited.
Dress appropriately: Wear clothing that provides easy access to the tattoo area. Bring a change of clothes if needed.
Practice good hygiene: Arrive clean and prepared.
Preferred payment: Cash is preferred but we also can take cards.
Hydration and nutrition: Stay hydrated and eat a good meal before your session. This will affect your ability to get tattooed and the time that you will be able to sit for a long session.
Age restriction: I do not tattoo anyone under the age of 18. However, I’m happy to discuss my reasons with you. We can always explore options and potentially plan for a future appointment when they/you meet the age requirement.
Tips: Not required but always appreciated.
Deposits: All deposits are non-refundable.
No-Call/No-Show Policy
First Occurrence: You will be required to pay 50% of the tattoo cost upfront to reschedule.
Second Occurrence: Full payment will be required upfront to reschedule.
Third Occurrence: You will no longer be accepted as a client & your deposit will be forfeited.
Numbing Cream
Adverse Reactions: If you experience an adverse reaction to the numbing cream, your appointment may need to be rescheduled or canceled for your safety. If you have ever had an adverse reaction to lidocaine, I recommend we do not try and use numbing cream.
Effectiveness: The effectiveness of numbing cream can vary depending on an individual's response to lidocaine and how the cream is applied.
Preparation Time: Numbing cream typically requires 90 minutes to take full effect. You must apply it in advance to ensure you're ready at the time of your appointment.
Recommended Cream: We offer a recommended cream for use. More information can be found here: [insert link here].
Using your own Cream: If you choose to use your own numbing cream, please provide me with a link to where you purchased it. This allows me to conduct the necessary research to ensure it’s safe and suitable for your tattoo session.
Aftercare
Clean Linens: Be sure to wash and change your linens, especially if you have pets that sleep in your bed.
Hydration: Staying hydrated is essential for a smooth healing process. Avoid consuming alcohol in excess during this time, as it can hinder recovery.
Cleanliness: Proper hygiene is crucial to prevent infection and promote healing. Always wash your hands thoroughly before touching your healing tattoo. I recommend cleaning with witch hazel and applying a scent-free, water-based lotion to keep the area moisturized.
